¡á Contents of Haidong Gum-Do training
The training of Haidong Gum-Do begins with the basic 12 techniques of Gum-bub,
encompasses the physical training like Ssang Soo Gum-bub, Sim San gGum-bub,
Yedo Gum-bub, Bon Guk Gum-bub, Jang Baek Gum-bub, hypogastric breathing
which gradually puts an increasing emphasis on Seondo training, Haenggong and meditation for grade holders.
The Gum-bub training is carried out using the real sword when the physical
and psychological training reaches an advanced level, like a real situation combat to develop the courage
and highly sophisticated skills using the cutting and wooden sword sparing (One on one).
High grade holders polish their integrity and qualification of knighthood and chivalry to perfection,
using their bare fist, not the sword,
leading to the Haidong fist dual for the performance of Haidong Gum-bub.
Haidong Gum-Do aims to accomplish a state of martial art where a person can control all things with his mind,
not using the sword and fist,-a higher stage of martial art-, not being complacent about the current status.
The spirit of Hongikingan(humanitarianism) is the aim and substance of the training,
brining benefit to the whole nature and world.
